hey blog,
you know what i've noticed? i've noticed that lately i'm bad at talking to you. i mean i post pictures, and musical mondays, but as far as deep meaningful updates on my life--nothin.
so, i'm here to apologize blog. i will work harder (kinda) on our relationship. and make you more of a priority (probably not though).
here's what's up: i'm still looking in to grad schools, right now the list includes Southern Connecticut State University, UMASS (boston), and get this....SDSU. seriously, it is possible that i will once again be an aztec, and study on the beach and eat jalapeno bagels from peabody's evrrrry day.
really, i would be excited about any of these schools, and i would love to live somewhere like boston and check out the east coast for a little while. i'm applying to mostly history m.a. programs but also one women's studies program, so that's a whole other decision. i'm going to pick one more east coast school and one more california school. but--get this--no applications are due until april! so that's a procrastinator's dream come true #winning!
i'm working at uvu. i like it--but it's just a job. i have had some moments where i thought: "why didn't i just teach one more year?" but then something reminds me why i didn't and i let it go. teaching was much more fun, it was more engaging, it gave me more pride in my work, but it was also much more stressful and irritating at times. so overall i think i'm learning a lot about jobs and myself and what makes me most happy and what will make me happiest in the long term and i think i made the best possible decision at the time (also, sometimes i get to sleep in way late on wednesdays INTHEMIDDLEOFTHEWEEK so that's really great)
james is schooling and working and d.c.ing. we miss summer when we hung out a lot more, so we are really looking forward to vacations. i still really like him. a lot. you should watch this video because he's so cute and so funny and so great:
annnnnd this post is the longest ever, have i ever written this much?? here's the gist of our lives for the next 6 months: dc show this weekend, finals week (james testing, me working), christmas in boise, start james' last semester, academy awards, 3 more dc shows, one last springhaven, sisto bridal showers/bachlorette, james graduates, trip to chicago, sisto's wedding, europe, and then....who knows?
so after that we go wherever (or stay? only in very specific circumstances. that involve utah relocating to a coast. but really it could happen, so i should probably prepare myself for the possibility...but i'm not going to) and we'll start to make decisions in the new year. on that note...how is it almost december?? why is it that every month sneaks up on me? so many questions?
lovesyou blog!
xxxxxx, b.
p.s. you know what is coming soon?! chriiiistmaaaas list!! i know you're as excited as me.
Oh I miss you! I saw Aubree Black Friday shopping and she said you weren't teaching and in all honesty, I was happy to know I wasn't the only one totally bailing on it. I just finished student teaching and now I'm working in Orem doing HR and accounting (what I did before). So I just wanted to say hello and best of luck with Grad School! You are a trooper.
